Orlando Culinary Academy
Established in January 2002, Orlando Culinary Academy is conveniently located in beautiful suburban Orlando, Florida. OCA offers the combination of a World Class educational center and one of the world's top vacation destinations.
Through its association with Le Cordon Bleu, Orlando Culinary Academy offers its students the theoretical foundation and technical skills to obtain their ideal job after graduation, with programs that prepare students for professional opportunities in the international hospitality industry. Students receive one-on-one, practical education in the classic and modern culinary arts. Faculty guides students in theoretical concepts as well as practical and creative applications.
Graduates earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts.
This program teaches classical French techniques combined with cutting-edge American technology. Students will be required to demonstrate culinary proficiencies at every level of their program, including over 450 specific proficiencies. Students will be exposed to a cross-cultural spirit and international culinary techniques, which focus on demonstration followed by practical application. The Le Cordon Bleu Diploma has worldwide recognition and local appeal.
The program represents a complete, well-rounded curriculum that provides a foundation for students to enter the food service industry in any of a multitude of positions. The program is designed to be 15 months in length - 12 months on campus followed by a 3 month externship where students apply their newly acquired skills in the "real" world. Graduates should be prepared to assume positions such as cook, apprentice chef, food and beverage manager, or kitchen manager in settings such as restaurants, hotels, schools, bakeries, resorts, and cruise ships.
